Tirhugh Resource Centre Ballyshannon PROMOTING LIFELONG LEARNING HIGHER CERTIFICATE IN ARTS IN COMMUNITY STUDIES Course Code TO BE ADVISED Title & Award Higher Certificate in Arts in Community Studies Entry Requirements Over 23 of age or Leaving Certificate Course Duration 6 hours per week for 24 weeks Nights Proposed Tuesday/Thursday evenings 7.00pm – 10.00pm Course Fee €250 Content Details The aim of the course is to provide participants with an understanding of community development and action and also to offer community workers the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in their own locality. The course content is broad in scope and will improve participants’ wider employment prospects and serve as a foundation for further study. PROMOTING LIFE LONG LEARNING Tirhugh Resource Centre Ballyshannon Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT), in conjunction with Tuath and Tirhugh Resource Centre Ballyshannon, wish to invite applications for: HIGHER CERTIFICATE IN ARTS IN COMMUNITY STUDIES (Part-Time) The course, based in The Tirhugh Resource Centre Ballyshannon, is scheduled to commence the week beginning 15th September 2008, subject to numbers. The course will run over a two year period The aim of the course is to develop and enhance participants’ understanding of community development and to offer an opportunity for existing community workers and those thinking of pursuing a career in the community to gain a recognised qualification - HETAC Level 6.
